Sri Lankans stock up as curfew briefly lifted

Sri Lanka’s curfew lifted temporarily on Thursday (May 12) and people scrambled to stock up on essentials or crowded onto buses in hopes of returning to their hometowns before the restrictions set in again. Armed soldiers stood on the streets of Colombo to ensure there was no violence.
