Yellen Threatens Rise In Interest Rates

Yellen spooked the markets today with some uncharacteristically hawkish comments in a pre-record speech. Unsurprisingly, she completely retracted her comments within hours. My suspicion is that this was an example of Yellen reverting back to her old rhetoric from when she was Fed chair, a time in which the standard for what was considered to be dovish commentary was far lower than it is today.
