Give Up or Show Up: Survival Tactics for a Changing World : Steve Giblin, author of “Walking Through Mud,” is a retired enlisted U.S. Navy SEAL Master Chief. He served for 28 years on active duty, 26 of those in the SEAL Teams. He operated in the Special Operations Undersea unit, (SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) Team) and Naval Special Warfare Development Group (aka DevGru, SEAL Team SIX) for half of his career. He was the senior enlisted leader for several commands and joint task forces overseas leading up to his retirement in 2009. After retiring he joined the civil service ranks for another nine years, culminating a 37 year career working for the U.S. Department of Defense.
