Creating Albert Pujols Mlb The Show 22
Pujols' father, a prominent pitcher in the Dominican Republic, introduced him to baseball at a young age. Albert Pujols and his family relocated to the United States when he was 16 years old, settling in Independence, Missouri. Pujols dazzled major league scouts during his high school and collegiate careers, and the St. Louis Cardinals selected him in the 13th round of the 1999 draft. He waited until the 2000 season to reach the minor leagues after negotiating a bigger signing bonus. That was his only season in the minors, as a strong spring training performance won him a berth on the Cardinals' opening-day roster in 2001.
