This is a simple and easy to use vehicle wiring and continuity tester that can test all the basic electrical functions of the car with three different display methods.

In the box can be found the testing unit itself, stainless steel capped primary probe, and a small but well written user guide. Build quality is lightweight but good quality with all you need included except perhaps for a carry case, which is a pity.

The unit consists of a testing pen with a separate detachable stainless steel probe. A smaller probe is hard wired to the unit for use when the main probe would be too large or other inconvenient. Also hardwired to the pen on a 45 inch silicone protected cable is a medium sized alligator clip in red. On the handset end of the probe is a 5w replaceable bulb
and on the handset body a small turret switch to select the display mode and on the end a red/green polarity status LED. The LED screen a small LED digital display for voltage and within it a 3-bar display for frequency prediction.

There are three display modes:
Mode 1 LED display and bulb
Mode 2 LED display - precise voltage display
Mode 3 Bulb only, bulb brightness indicating signal strength

Polarity Testing - Red/ Green LEDs illuminate accordingly

The unit can test all the standard features needed: voltage, power supply failure, load voltage, pulse signals, polarity. Ground clamp, probe to current - tube shows voltage, bulb brightness display.
Frequency Prediction - bar display in tube >55hz no display, 50 >55hx 1 bar, 50> 38Hz 2 bars, < 38Hz 3 bars

This is a well made and easy to use little device which is worth keeping in the glove compartment of your car or in your workshop and at the 18.99 price, a very decent buy.
