Vidar Ligard, together with his wife Catherine, is the founder of Safari Mission USA, Inc. As an ordained minister, Vidar's focus is to transform people's minds and lives through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. Having grown up in Norway, Vidar moved to Tulsa, OK when he was 15 with a study abroad program. After attending Rhema Bible Training College and Oral Roberts University, he graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering and a master's in business administration. Vidar and Catherine mentor, teach and develop church, business, and community leaders. They believe that if you develop a leader, you change a community. Their focus is to train leaders & transform people in Africa through God's Word to strengthen every believer & change society. Vidar's vision is to see the gospel affect people's lives in a deeper way. Seeing how many non-profit organizations have failed to deal with the real issues in Africa, Vidar is working on changing the people's thinking and teaching leaders about ethics, and good leadership styles. Empowering people with knowledge is key to a changed Africa!
