(60) Japan has a new 500 yen coin

Japan's 500 yen coin is one of the highest valued coin denominations in the world that commonly circulates. Thus, it is a tempting target for counterfeiters. This latest 500 yen will be the second time that this coin design and metal content has been changed to discourage counterfeiting.

I am from Canada, live in Japan, and collect coins from everywhere.
