Solar Panel Struggles

Hey Ya'll!

We just got our new solar panel setup in anticipation of going on our long Boondocking adventure. We are both total noobs to having our own RV, and most of the things that go along with it. We look forward to the opportunity to take you guys along for our struggles and our triumphs; this video has some of each.

We were seriously struggling emotionally to cope with the obvious bummer that was 2020, and the associated loss of work and social life like so many others. The silver lining to this is that we both were making a ton of comments spawned from the misery, that looking back, are pretty much comedy gold. No planning or practice required for these jokes! LOL

Our trailer came standard with hookups for Zamp brand solar panels. However, the stuff is rather overpriced for what you get, so we went with a Renergy solar panel, which necessitated a number of adapters to deal with this this issue. This caused us to stop filming our first segment as we realized we did not have the correct items to make this work, and continue on when our next order of adapters arrived at the house. This made Katrina very sad, which I gotta say, I think how she expresses her disappointment is the absolute most adorable thing ever. :)

Once we finally got it all set up, this thing was awesome, and would go on to be one of our most valued pieces of equipment out in the wilderness.

We are Cody and Katrina, AKA Second Nature. We have been traveling the US in our 32’ 2018 Desert Fox 27fs toy hauler trailer since October 2020. A lot has happened since we left, and we hope you will come along for the ride!

When we first started on our trip a lot of chaos happened and we weren’t able to edit, so we’ve been working through our backlog of footage for a while. We plan to be caught up and current in the next few months. In the meantime, have fun watching our memories.
