Filters are very robust and are of very high quality. As usual VND suffers from Cross pattern when used at their extreme value on wide angle lens , and stacking a big amount of filters on top of each others will results in vignetting on wide angle lens

The system is a bit overwhelming in the beginning but when you understand its 3 layers systems things get perfectly clear
