Protecting the Circle

I was contacted by a company out of Washington and asked if I would assist them in developing a training video. I had recently published an article in Law and Order Magazine entitled "Protecting the Circle." It was a concept I developed over the years of training and studying assaults on police officers. They sent me the videos they wanted to use and I completed critiques on each scenario. They used that information and wrote the script for the officer in the video.

There was talk about doing more videos in the future but the gentleman who ran this studio was in poor health and I never heard from him regarding any additional projects.

The core of this philosophy was taught in all of my classes during my time at the academy. Try to keep your threats down range and when possible, deal with one threat at a time. Divide and conquer. Distance is your friend.
