Spillway Walleye & Perch Fishing / Walleye Fishing From Shore / River Walleye Fishing

In this Michigan walleye fishing video I am walleye fishing from shore with my good buddy and boss Sal. When we have a slow work day we end up doing great things like going spillway fishing for walleye and other fun fishing adventures. Sal and I both really enjoy fishing for walleye. River walleye fishing is my cup o tea and Sal showed me up bad on this trip. I struggled to fish up a single walleye but got the skunk off at the end with some live bait. I had it in my mind that I was gonna centerpin fish for walleye but the fish had other plans. One thing about river walleye fishing that i love is the challenge. Walleye fishing is not as easy as bass fishing thats for sure. Walleye fishing from shore can be done though and if you real know what you are doing you can clean up house. I am a ok river walleye fisherman at best but I don't chase walleye as hard as I do other species other than certain times of year when the walleye fishing is good in the areas I fish.Show more

Disclaimer: this spillway is private and you can not fish it without land owner permission. This particular creek is a tributary of the maple river. This day was definitely one of the most epic creek fishing adventures I've been on. Normally when I think of creeks I think of trout so it was super happy to catch Walleye, Bass, Perch, Sunfish, Crappie & Cats while creek fishing. If you like Michigan creek fishing or Michigan walleye fishing make sure you stay tuned because I have been back to this spillway several times since this first trip and the walleye are getting bigger!
