How and Why the US Blocks Development in Asia

The US uses its “soft power” to interfere in other nations, to undermine their sovereignty, and often to divide and destroy nations to deny them as useful partners for America’s adversaries - namely Russia and China.

They do this often under the guise of pursuing “human rights” or “environmental” concerns. One example is an ongoing anti-dam campaign in Southeast Asia and in Myanmar in particular.

While US-backed opposition groups cite human rights and environmental concerns - the truth is the US seeks simply to stop development, to block Chinese-led projects, and to impede Asia’s overall collective rise.
