Kwid E-TECH is part of a global project with the participation of Renault Latam Engineering and is a product developed so that more Brazilian consumers have access to a 100% electric vehicle.

Renault do Brasil wants to make the electric vehicle experience ever closer to the customer and, for that purpose, offers solutions so that the consumer has peace of mind to enter this electric revolution.

Therefore, Kwid E-TECH Electric will also be available on Renault on Demand, the brand's innovative mobility solution for the Brazilian market, which offers several customizable long-term subscription plans. All plans include preventive review services, document management and vehicle-related fees such as IPVA and licensing, in addition to insurance.

With an electric motorization, fully developed according to the taste of the Brazilian consumer, the Kwid E-TECH Electric is agile in urban traffic. Acceleration from 0 to 50 km/h takes just 4.1 seconds. In addition, Kwid E-TECH has the best energy efficiency index, of 0.44 MJ/km, among all electric vehicles in Brazil, according to Inmetro's Brazilian Vehicle Labeling Program (table published on February 10, 2022).

The range is 298 kilometers in urban use, according to the SAE J1634 standard, used by Inmetro. More than enough value for the average daily journey in big cities.

Another advantage is the economy of the kilometer traveled, natural in electric vehicles, which in the Kwid E-TECH is also the result of the weight of only 977 kg. Translating into values: considering R$ 7.30 the average price of gasoline in capitals of the South and Southeast, according to the National Petroleum Agency (ANP), and the average value of 1kWh to R$ 0.66, the cost of one kilometer Kwid E-TECH is R$0.06. That same kilometer traveled costs R$ 0.48 in an equivalent thermal vehicle.

Another innovative highlight of the Kwid E-TECH is the ease of recharging the battery, which has a capacity of 26.8 kWh and can be charged up to a grounded 20A domestic socket.

Complete, the Kwid E-TECH has six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), ABS brakes with BAS (Braking Assist System), hill start assistant (HSA), reversing camera, rear parking sensor, multimedia system Media Evolution and electric steering, among other safety and comfort items.

The Kwid E-TECH Electric is offered in a single version and has a suggested price of R$ 142,990. Orders for both sale and Renault on Demand can be made from today on the websites www.renault.com.br and www.renaultondemand.com.br with a down payment of R$ 999. The car will be delivered from August.

Light and compact, the Kwid E-TECH Electric offers a range of 265 km in mixed cycle and 298 km in urban cycle, according to the SAE J1634 standard used by Inmetro. Permanent regenerative braking recovers energy each time the accelerator pedal is released and also when braking.

Recharging can be done in a common socket, in an alternating current (AC) wallbox of 7 kW and in direct current (DC) chargers. For example, charging from 15% to 80% of the battery charge on DC takes 40 minutes, on a 7kW Wallbox it takes 2h54 and on a 220 volt domestic socket it takes 8h57.

The Media Evolution multimedia system offers a 7” touchscreen, smartphone mirroring compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, USB and AUX inputs. The steering wheel features the “push to talk” button, which triggers the command for voice recognition (via smartphone), allowing you to activate and command the smartphone’s iOS or Google assistant.

The vehicle debuts a new body color, Noronha green, exclusive to the model, and will also be available in Glacier Polar white and Diamond silver.
