How do we help believers overcome sin?

Resisting sin is one of a Christian's greatest challenges, and it pulls many believers away from the faith. However, a child of God can pass through any trial with help from their friends and family, and if we can properly guide them through their temptations, they will have a much easier time in sticking with their beliefs.
