Can a Christian be poor?

There are two ways to look at poverty. There is physical poverty - lack of food, shelter, running water, etc. - but there is also a spiritual, inner kind of poverty; and God has expressed His desire to uplift us from this state of poverty in the Scriptures.

But what poverty is that? And does it have any connection with money?
