The Finish Valmet M78 is a .308 RPK type rifle that was imported in the 1980's. It's one of several models Valmet imported into the United States during the heyday of semi-auto military rifle imports. In movies like Commando and Red Dawn you'll find Valmet RPK's being used. The Finn's adopted the Valmet RK62 as their service rifle which inspired the Israeli Galil.
