Regardless of its outcome, the conflict between Russia and Ukraine will for years remain an open wound between two peoples who once considered themselves brothers. But while fratricidal strife is as old as history, the confrontation over Ukraine may have given birth to a totally new phenomenon of instrumentalized and cultivated hatred. Who does it serve?
