W&R Boracay Island Philippines. Part Two ( the hunt for a secluded beach 🏖 ) April 2022

Part Two of our adventure on Boracay Island. We make the trek over to Puka Beach in an attempt to evade the tourists for a day. What seemed like a bad tip actually turned into a great find! We also take a stroll through D Mall and end up back on White Beach. We absolutely loved our time on Boracay Island, a very special part of the Philippines and worth a visit.

Boracay airport code is ( MPH ). Direct flights available from Clark Angeles City (CRK) or Manila (MNL). You will need to take a taxi from the airpot to the ferry terminal ( 5 minute drive ) and then ferry over to Boracay island. I strongly recommend booking a hotel that provides transportation from the airport. I used Coast and Blue Marina - links below.

Puka Beach can be reached via any of the taxi trikes working along the White Beach Road. Cost is 250 peso ( 5 usd ) each way. You'll be dropped at the designated taxi drop off point, walk down the road about 100 yards to the beach. Turn left and walk along the water's edge for about 1/2 mile and the tourists will start to thin out. Keep going until you reach the end - it's well worth the walk. Make sure to bring a towel, sunscreen and a few bottles of water. Make sure you arrange a pick up if you plan on staying for sunset.
