Ivor Cummins, in his podcast: The Fat Emperor, continues his interview with Lisa Emerson, of Elusiveiron.com about the challenge of getting iron deficiency in blood work detected. When ferritin is low, that is a flag of low iron and more testing needed. When high, that is complicated to review. Often doctors focus so much on anemia that women with low iron but no anemia are misdiagnosed and can spend years with serious symptoms and now relief!
