Those dry sheaths serve a purpose on the pseudobulbs of our orchids, but... they can also cause a problem, either as the orchid grows, and the sheaths get wet, risking rot... or the sheaths on our pseudobulbs provide a great place for pests to congregate and become an infestation before we actually see them, or the damage they have done. Taking of the sheaths of our orchids on the pseudobulbs comes with some risks... popping off a new growth that we do not see, at the base, is a thing and it can be so annoying! A quick tip on how to remove sheaths from our pseudobulbs without taking any risk of destroying a new growth!
