The weasel is the smallest predator among mammals

During the day, the weasel eats 10-15 rodents (40% of its own weight) and often kills more. The animal leaves extra prey in reserve. In the storerooms of the burrow there can be from 30 to 100 mice. This saves the weasel in the days of unsuccessful hunting. Without food, the animal can die within 4 hours.
