CANDIDA PAX, DAY (1971)

CANDIDA PAX was an underground rock band with a Peter Green bluesy guitar and a folk psych-rock touch (heavy fuzz-guitar, piano, effects). Drawing on psychedelic blues and the post-hippie ideal of Christian salvation, this northern English band released their only album Day in 1971 on the obscure Deroy Sound Service label (a studio and manufacturer specializing in private press businesses for artists independents) and that was the last time anyone heard anything about them.
