S01E063 Rude But Clever

Well, is suppose it was probably inevitable. Some of the Othersiders have now figured out how to use my railroad scanner to communicate. After all, it does work on the same principle as a "Shack Hack," Frank's Box, or PSB: It rapidly scans radio frequencies until it finds an active signal it can lock onto. Othersiders can be very clever when it comes to manipulating all things electronic.

This was not the first time this had happened for me, but it was the first time I was able to capture it on video. Earlier that day, while in the car with the scanner on, one voice came through clearly and said "Want some pollen?" while another, five minutes later offered up a cheery "Hi there!" Neither of which is something a railroad dispatcher nor train crew member would be saying over their radio.
