Intro to Revelation (Revelation 1:1-3)

Today we begin our new series studying our way through the book of Revelation, perhaps one of the most difficult books of the Bible to understand. Even so, it is inspired by God, and therefor essential for our christian understanding and living even if specifics sometimes elude us. We begin our study with some crucial background information about the book itself, as well as the basic constructs of how the content is generally approached. The intended goal is to introduce to us the tools necessary to navigate this prophecy, even as we keep the main tenets of Christ and His imminent return in the forefront of our hearts, even if we do not fully understand when or how.
