2 Vehicle Accident Turns Fatal, LIVINGSTON, May 7, 2022 - During the six o'clock a.m. hour on May 7, 2022, a maroon Toyota Tundra, was north-bound on US-146 (1800 block) when a white 2021 Ford F-250 appeared to have crossed the center line causing a glancing head on collision. The impact obliterated the Toyota (driven by Rance Cole, 54, of Livingston). The Ford (driven by Seth Jacob Marceaux, 29, of Livingston) continued across the north-bound lanes and came to rest in an adjoining parking lot. Allegiance Ambulance Service was disaptched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department Heavy Rescue Unit, and Officers Chris Simmons and Chad Lilley with the Livingston Police Department. Rance Cole was transported by ambulance to CHI Livingston Memorial Hospital where he passed away a short time later. Marceaux was physically okay. A field sobriety test was administered and Marceaux was placed under arrest for driving while intoxicated. Due to the passing of Cole, the charge was elevated to intoxication-manslaughter. All traffic on 146 was blocked during investigation and cleanup. Both vehicles were recovered by LakeView Wrecker and will be stored in Livingston.
