SOLDIERS in Donetsk continue the military offensive and hope 'an end is soon in sight.'
Local militia groups in Donetsk are continuing the offensives westward with some officers expressing hope for a swift end of the conflict.
On the northeastern side of the Donetsk front near Avdiivka, CGTN's correspondent Dmitriy Maslak saw the fighting intensified after a brief ceasefire.
On the contrary, the southern side of the Donetsk front is more quiet, with nearby villages of Khlebodarivka, Krasnaya Polyana and Staromlinovka showing no signs of battle.
Meanwhile Russia has fired two missiles at the Odesa region.
According to Ukrinform, Maksym Marchenko, head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, said this on Telegram.
"The strike hit the Odesa district of the region," the statement said.
No one was killed or injured in the attack.
Earlier reports said that in Kharkiv, the enemy fired last night and this morning on Pivnichna Saltivka - the hardest-hit residential neighborhood of the regional center.
