Granddad is Old Fashioned

Drink serves 2
In a cocktail stirring glass add 8-10 dashes cherry bitters (fee brothers is what we used). Add 2 oz simple syrup (fresh please). Add 3 (the cheaper the better) maraschino cherries. Add 3 slices (cut into quarters) blood orange. Add 1 "whiskey ball" or any other spherical ice. Add 6 oz 114 Old Granddad whiskey. Use a bar spoon to stir for at least 30 sec. 1 minute is best. Stir in a large circular motion disturbing the drink as little as possible. Get 2 glasses add 2 cubes of ice each and add 1 cherry and 1 blood orange wedge. Strain drink using a Hawthorne strainer.
