The Mighty Pen; How Notaries Get Repeat Tile Direct & Customers.

When we perform our closings, we bring these really nice Sharpie S-Gel pens. Everyone loves them, they often ask if they can keep them. We let them keep them, why? Because we know they will leave a lasting impression!

You see our intention is to over-deliver on services, to think through every detail of what our client is going through. If you were signing your signature and other details a seemingly innumerable amount of times would you want to use some cheap Bic ballpoint pen from the Dollar Tree or a nice smooth gel pen?

Bringing a good pen to the table is just one small example of how you can leave a lasting impression. But the point is to leave a lasting impression. You see if you make the title company that hired you to look good in the lender to look good and leave the client feeling good about themselves, repeat business is inevitable!

Paying attention to listening to and caring for your client whilst conducting notary work is important. It will make the title agents, attorneys, signing companies, and lenders who hired you look good! If they look good and get good feedback you will be bumped up higher on their list. That means more work for you and higher fees for you. Got it? It is simple as that!

No amount of marketing tactics can compete with reputation and the ability and desire to consistently over delivered to your clients. A stellar reputation is a must! We teach notaries numerous techniques like this that will help you stand out above the pack. While they are relatively simple they are impactful and I guess things that we've learned over time from being in the industry.

On the other end of the spectrum, I have a tip for Title Attorneys, Title agents, and escrow officers... If you are using a signing service as many of you do for the simplicity, it would serve you well to know what the end notary is getting her compensation. If the end notary's compensation is drastically below market value you can rest assured that you are getting an inexperienced notary. No professional closer will take an offer that is substantially below the market. So, it is a recipe for disaster!

Save yourself the headache and make sure that you are dealing with an experienced closer who is well compensated oh, it will result in increased revenue on your behalf most certainly!

That's all folks, be sure to check out our new book that is available on Amazon Kindle and paperback, "A Golden Pen."

God Bless, as always.
