Deliver Us From Evil (2006 Documentary)

Deliver Us From Evil is a superb shockingly TRUE documentary and a searing look at an Catholic Church and its leaders protecting themselves at the expense of its followers (and at the expense of all of the young children) and allowing Father Oliver O’Grady, being the most notorious known pedophile in the history of the Catholic Church. Father Oliver O’Grady was relocated to various parishes around the United States during the 1970s, wherein the Catholic Church attempted to cover up his rape and molesting of dozens of children comprised of both boys and girls; therein, allowing Father Oliver O’Grady to continue to perpetuate his raping and molesting for many, many years – from in the 1970s into the 1990s.

Father Oliver O'Grady testifies throughout the film and the recollections of O'Grady's victims in the video are nothing short of shocking and heartbreaking. Additionally, included in the documentary are trial documents, videotaped depositions, and interviews with activists, theologians, psychologists, and lawyers; and, it suggests that Church officials were definitely aware of O'Grady's crimes; and further, that the Church officials took many, many steps to protect Father Oliver O'Grady’s crimes from being known; and, fully aware that if this was made public it would be very damaging to the Catholic Church’s reputation of having a prolific pedophile in the Catholic Church.

Father Oliver O'Grady admitted to have molested and raping approximately 25 children in Northern California from the late 1970s though the early 1990s. He also admits that he thought about this day and night of how to molest or rape young unsuspecting children.

Father Oliver O'Grady was finally convicted but given only a seven year sentence; wherein, after his release he was deported to Ireland and they were NOT told of him being a pedophile. When in Ireland came up with the idea of writing apology letters to the grown children but this was abandoned as stated in the video.

Oliver O'Grady was clearly a wolf in sheep’s clothing and how unbelievably all of the Catholic bureaucracy protection of Father Oliver O'Grady went clear to the TOP including the Pope of the Catholic Church in Vatican. Several of the children’s parents flew to Italy with an Advocate Priest of the Catholic Church to meet with the Pope and unbelievably they were REFUSED entry into the Vatican.

After the documentary was shown on Dutch national TV in April 2010, members of a parish in Schiedam, a city and municipality in the west of the Netherlands, recognized O'Grady as having been an active volunteer in the parish until January 2010. They had known nothing about his background as a convicted pedophile in America. He had also been active in the Netherlands as an organizer of children's parties.

This is merely the TIP of the problems with the pedophiles in the Catholic Church then and NOW unfortunately and the statistics are at the end of the video – it is STILL going on.
