On May 6, 2022 an operation was conducted to evacuate civilians held by Ukrainian nazis at Azovstal Iron and Steel Works

50 civilians, including 11 children, were rescued.
All rescued civilians were handed over to representatives of the United Nations and the International Committee of the Red Cross for delivery to to selected temporary accommodation facilities.
The humanitarian operation at Azovstal will continue on May 7, 2022.
