Today's Chicago Bears News & Rumors:
- Ryan Poles and Bears are “ALL IN” on Justin Fields. Poles joined ‘Mully & Haugh’ on 670 the Score in Chicago and reiterated that they completely believe in Fields. Poles also mentioned that the Bears are “never done” when it comes to adding talent to their roster.
- Sign Duane Brown to play left tackle? Pro Football Focus said the Chicago Bears would be a “perfect landing spot” for Brown as Larry Borom is currently slated to start at LT.
- Todd McShay 2023 NFL Mock Draft: McShay unveiled his early mock and has the Bears drafting Pittsburgh WR Jordan Addison. Addison recently entered the transfer portal and could be heading to another school for this season. Addison projects as a true #1 WR and would help the Bears offense next year.
- ESPN NFL Analyst Dan Orlovsky rips the Chicago Bears and Darnell Mooney. Orlovsky says the Bears haven’t done enough in NFL Free Agency and in the NFL Draft to help Justin Fields, which is probably true. Where he’s wrong is he claims that Darnell Mooney isn’t even a #2 WR in the NFL yet. Mooney was 17th among wide receivers in yards last season with 1,055 and that’s playing in the worst passing offense led by Matt Nagy. Harrison rips Orlovsky for this awful take.
- Chicago Bears rookie minicamp takes place from today through Sunday May 8th. 42 players in total will participate at Halas Hall including 36 rookies. Velus Jones Jr. spoke about being 25 years old as a rookie and believes it’s an advantage as he’s more mature than a typical rookie would be. He also said that he’s been speaking with Justin Fields and “manifesting what’s to come” with the Bears QB.
