South Africa - Cape Town - 06 May 2022 - Two boys, aged 4 and 7 died in a fire in Bishop Lavis last night. The City’s Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to the fire in Arthur Abrahams Avenue just before midnight yesterday, Thursday May 5. When crews from Belhar and Epping arrived on the scene, they were informed that two people were believed to be inside the house. As firefighting and search and rescue operations continued, the bodies of the two boys were found. Crews managed to contain and extinguish the fire just before 00:40. The dwelling was severely affected by the fire while another two dwellings sustained minimal damages.
