Psaki Says There Is No ‘Official U.S. Government Position’ Protesting Outside SCOTUS Justices’ Homes

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki took “the opportunity to celebrate and congratulate” Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre at the start of the daily press briefing. Ms. Jean-Pierre was announced prior to the briefing as the new press secretary beginning May 13 when Psaki steps down from her position. Several topics were discussed during the briefing including the Supreme Court’s leaked draft opinion and a woman’s right to choose, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the economy and inflation, the U.S.-Mexico border, and COVID-19 funding.
