Our beloved Donnie J. Salvador passed away peacefully in the grace of the Lord, at 12:13 a.m. on April 6, 2022 at the UST Hospital, and has now joined her husband, Vic Salvador, in eternal bliss. She is survived by her children and in-laws: Robert Salvador, Edward and Begonia Salvador, Dr. Peter and Ma. Lourdes Salvador Sy, Lee and Victoria Salvador Kupper, Ronnie and Peggy Salvador, and by her grandchildren: Mark, Stephanie, Nikki, Jason, Michael, Jonathan, Jacqueline, Miko†, Alexa, James Anthony, Briana and Xavier.

Donnie adored the Lord with utmost dedication and reverence. She will always be remembered for her example of tireless self-giving to spread the Gospel up to the last day of her life. She leaves with us a legacy of her charitable work and contribution as Chairman of the Board of the National Sandigan Foundation of the Philippines which she co-founded with the late Jaime Cardinal Sin. She actively advocated the cause of the poor and underprivileged, assisted the Mother Teresa Center in Tondo, and is considered Mother Teresa’s best friend in the Philippines.

Donnie was a well-respected mover and shaker throughout her long career as General Manager of Rita Legarda, Inc. A true trailblazer, she was elected the first lady president of the Manila Board of Realtors. She was also a founder of Majestic Ham, Inc., a well-loved Philippine brand which she started with her husband.
