In this weeks episode we talk about central bank digital currencies better know as CBDCs. Talking about what they are? What effect they will have on everyday life and the power of the government? And will this give extreme power to the government resulting in a dystopian future where people do not have autonomy over there wealth but instead are controlled and curated by the government? We also dive into talking about specific examples like the trucker protests in Canada as well as the Julian Assange case and how currency was blocked and shut down by the government. We then go into talking about bitcoin and how it could be the ultimate line of defence in the authoritarian move by world government with CBDCs, as it is decentralised and also it has actual worth that will grow over time unlike normal fiat currencies that are worthless. In this weeks episode I learnt so much and I hope you guys did as well :)
