Plants vs Zombies 2 - Penny's Pursuit - Dartichoke - May 2022

This quest focuses on the Seedium plant Dartichoke and was offered between May 4, 2022 and May 11, 2022.

Dartichoke is a member of the Spear-Mint family.
Costs 225 Sun. (200 at level 5)
Fires a dart which prioritize “dangerous” or high-priority zombies like Octo-zombie or Wizard zombie.
These darts do 75 damage. (+15 per level)

This is a nifty designed plant. The idea of a plant which can act as a sniper is definitely something we home owners would love.

The problem with this plant is that in order to use it, you need to dedicate one per lane - which can get expensive quickly. If Dartichoke had a homing ability like Homing Thistle has, this plant would be utilized more often.

Level 2 - Difficulty 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - FAIL

Survive the zombie attack - Beghouled level
Defeat 125 zombies in 60 seconds
This is a Beghouled level - therefore the player is really at the mercy of the chosen plants and how good they are at this mini-game. The zombies are simply too many and the plants too weak to dispose of them adequately. A much higher Knock-back perk would give the player time to regroup, clean up the lawn and resume. I'd also recommend saving the Sun for Melon-pult and then Winter-melon - so that you can freeze the zombies and do area of effect damage. Plus, the zombies cover less ground in between being yanked.

Score no more than 2,500 / 2,350 / 2,250 Sun
Do not let the zombies trample the flowers - none / 4 and 5 / 5 and 6

Survive for two (2) minutes.
Score to beat: 1,000,000 / 2,000,000 / 3,000,000
Protect the endangered plants: Zoybean Pods on C1R1 and C1R5
Starting Sun 1,700 / 1,500 / 1,250
