In our Album Fight series, we often discover moments of brilliance in a decades old album. Something we've heard 1000 times suddenly becomes new.

This highlight from the U2 Songs of Innocence vs U2's Songs of Experience album fight a juggernaut was revealed. Dr Chris Edrinal, who's a PhD level expert on U2 makes the case for "The Little Things That Give You Away" being not only a top 10 U2 song, but also that the second half of the song, the "Sometimes" refrain is the BEST two and a half minutes of music U2 has ever created.

The Doctor goes on to break down the song elementally. Chris declares the song is interesting: lyrically, thematically, musically, textually and formally. This bold statement on it's own would be impressive, however, fellow judge for this fight Brian Betteridge from AtU2.com echoes the same points.

The three judges scored this fight 10-9, 10-8, 10-8 making this a knock down round for "The Little Things That Give You Away."

A quick shout to PhD Timothy Furnish who also judges this fight.

``An Album Fight pits two similarly tracks albums. Consider Prince's Purple Rain (9 Tracks) vs Led Zeppelin II (9 tracks) Each track pairing equals a round as in a boxing match; Song 1 faces Song 1. The scoring is on a 10-pt must system (meaning the winner of the round MUST score 10 points). Rounds may be scored 10-10, 10-9, 10-8, or 10-7. There are 3 judges per album. We have unofficial judges who also score to create a compubox number. Richard Lackie provides his patent pending numbers driven prediction model and off we go. So who wins in this fight?``

The Album Fight is a concept developed by Jon Leon Guerrero and Pete A Turner of the Break It Down Show.
