Kern County Fire Department prepares for wildfire season

The drought conditions in California aren't going away. Some years there may be less of an impact but according to the U.S. Drought Monitor, this year we're in D3 or Extreme Drought. Kern County Fire Department says it’s been drying up more mature and large vegetation like brush and trees in addition to grass. That all becomes fuel for the fire.
