Experimenting with a Homemade Waterer

I needed a way to feed and water my chickens where I was not out there three times a day, but I didn't want to spend a lot of money on feeders and waterers that I wasn't sure would fit my particular needs.
Buckets and bolts are cheap enough, but can Tom and I figure out the best way to make this work?
