June 1st is the official beginning of Pride Month. For many individuals, pride month is a celebratory occasion that celebrates the acceptance of many on the LGBTQ spectrum. 2021's pride month, however, has been besieged by debates about sexual activities at Pride parades, the safety of children, and other gripes shared by different individuals as it relates to the LGBTQ community.
