• Is 65:10 Bible Scholars say Sharon is a plain in the western part of Israel. The valley of Achor is in the east, near Jericho. The valley of Achor was also called the Valley of Trouble because Achan was executed there for hiding the devoted goods of battle (Jos_7:10-26). Even in this valley there will be peace: The coming restoration will be complete. Flocks shall be available and peace restored to troubled regions. This is the portion of all God's children, when we seek him.

• Is 65:16 This verse predicts that men who invoke blessings on themselves and make vows will do so in the name of the God of truth. They will not seek blessings from false gods or idols, and will not make vows by them. God also has promised to wipe away former troubles such that they will be quickly forgotten and hidden from all God's children. Lay claim on this promise because it holds true. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. May you enter into the morning season of your life now in Jesus' name!

• Is. 65:17-19 These blessed promises are fulfilled in a gracious sense, when sinners are made new creatures in Christ Jesus; and more fulfilled in heaven as seen by John saw in a vision. How truly blessed is it to see and remark the happy change achieved in the circumstances of mankind, by the gracious effects of the gospel of peace. God declares through Isaiah on account of outward afflictions and persecutions; and on account of inward darkness, desertion, and temptation, or the prevalence of corruptions that these shall come to an end both now and in the world to come.
