You can tell by the sound of my breathing how excited I was when I found a nice cluster of the much sought after Chicken of the Woods mushroom on my property. I didn't think I'd ever see one of these again after I found the one when I was back in Ohio. I didn't get to eat that one because I gave it away to a guy who had found it earlier in the day but came back for it after finding out how much his dad loves them. But today, it's mine! This truly is the most delicious mushroom I've ever tasted. I forage a bit more for wild greens, and cook up a lovely dinner!
