How I Started in Self-Publishing. Plus, Channel Map and why I prefer niches which inspire debate.

While standing with my bike in a wheatfield in Southern England, I wondered how incredible it would be to write books about my adventures and travels.

At that time, I was on a 16-month solo bicycle ride supporting Jump Children's Charity, which helps children with life-limiting illnesses in the UK.

I covered all my expenses with savings, and I had no sponsorship. Therefore, every penny donated to the charity needed to go directly to the charity.

It was an incredible adventure from Cheshire, England, to Ao Nang in Thailand, through 12 countries.

I later realised that travel, adventure, sports, and genres were perfect for self-publishing. This inspires debate amongst the readers, and the readers are more likely to share information regarding the book with other like-minded friends or groups.
