Range Day! - Powder Load ballistic testing, Clear Ballistic Gel, Chronograph. B-Roll

Slow Motion Gel is the last 4 minutes of the video!

Had about 45 minutes of B roll from our range day. None of it good camera work and even the slow mo was acting like shit. Trying out a new kel tec, 1911, my colt army, several homemade slugs Lee Key drive 1oz at different powder loads 25/35/40.5gr , Diabolo 540gr hardened slugs. But since I had the slow mo sitting there along side all this extra film I just put some interesting bits in. Image stabilization was off on my camera somehow and post process stabilization made the file 8gb.

The ballistics gel was provided by Clearballistics and is their 20% sniper blocks. I use 20% so that I can capture my rounds in 2 gel blocks. The wound channels arent nearly as impressive but the impact force and final bullet disposition are what I am interested in with my custom rounds.

The rounds aren't listed in the slow motion because this footage was just left over and I can't remember which is which. We were shooting 22 mag, 9mm, 45 and 12 gauge slugs.
