Waikato expressway SH1 SH26 May 2021Hamilton bypass motorway

This is a short video to show the works on the new expressway going past Hamilton. This road will provide a much faster North South Route at motorway speeds and should increase vehicle efficiency, reduce emissions and help remove traffic on city streets.

What I like about it will be a much more straightforward drive with fewer intersections and railway crossing elimination. The newer smoother roads uses less energy to transit the same distance.
