Russian forces have retreated from Chernihiv, Ukraine, and the northern city's residents are now left to pick all the pieces.

Amnesty International says up to 8 unguided bombs were dropped in one area, killing at least 47 people. Human Rights watch was unable to identify any legitimate military targets in that area, and concluded the strike could constitute a war crime, as homes, shops and a hospital were hit.
