Installing a pool pump and filter on an above ground swimming pool

Installing a new pool pump and filter on an above ground swimming pool requires you to follow a few basic steps. The pump I installed on this pool was a different model than the one originally purchased with the pool. This pool pump has a higher plow and filtration capacity than the original one.

I also installed a new pool skimmer to help keep some of the larger contaminants from getting into the pool pump.
