Waterfowl food plot update, bringing in 'good dirt'

Finally! Getting back to the duck pond! Join me for today's episode as I begin the soil preparation for planting Milo in the DIY duck pond soon. Today I'll break out the Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer and haul in some 'good dirt,' keep in mind that 'good dirt' around here just means that it has some color tint to it compared to everything else that is pure red clay. But it is definitely better than pure clay, and plants will grow much better in this clay based 'good dirt!' I really enjoy wildlife habitat improvement projects, and working the land and then seeing the future rewards of all of your hard work! After I completed the dirt moving and rough grading I let it dry about 3 hours and did try the SR3 on it, but it was a smidge too wet still. Stay tuned for a 'machine short' update on how that went. Thanks for joining me today and If you enjoy this kind of land management project and more consider subscribing to follow us as we do excavator projects, land management projects, Bobcat mini excavator projects, food plots, duck ponds, land investing, land flipping, property rehab projects, land reclamation projects, Bobcat T650 CTL skid steer projects, Kioti tractor projects, DIY rustic furniture, DIY rustic barn wood projects, our Kentucky farmhouse rehab project, and much more country living adventure.
