06-24-21, TOO MUCH WATER EROSION! Join me for PART 2 of this mission on a Rural Southern Illinois farm. In Part 1 of 2 I installed a 20 foot 12 inche culvert pipe with just clay dirt, and of course we had it tested instantly with a massive farm tractor and implement and a semi truck and trailer hauling wheat from the farm fields. It withstood the first 2 tests but after some heavy rains, lets take a look at it and see if it washed out some, Yes it did, but more importantly what will be the solution to help control the water erosion? In todays PART 2 episode we'll finish the part 1 installation with the bobcat e42 r series mini excavator, and then after we see the aftermath of some heavy rains, we'll also have to repair it and bring in a full load of 3 inch clean stone to bolster up the culvert pipe and driveway against some heavy water erosion. There are 2 parts because there were several other small tasks that I did in conjunction with the culvert pipe, so all of those things will be wrapped up on part 2 as well as a real time look during some heavy rains to see how the culvert pipe is or is not working! I am using my new bobcat e42 R series, aka bobcat R-2 series, mini excavator for this task. I think that you will find this video very interesting, and if you enjoy it please hit the like button and share it for us, we really would appreciate that! Stay tuned for PART 2, the completion of this project and to see a follow up shot after some heavy rains in our area of Southern Illinois for a real life test.
