I RUINED MY OWN CULVERT PROJECT! NOW WHAT.. Thanks for joining me today for another Kapper farm vlog episode as I finally start to tackle the junk yard mess that I let build up on our Southern Illinois farm. Things start out OK as I get some of the old metal drums crushed down for scrap, find a new home for the steel I beams that I may or may not use some day on a pond bridge project, and get my barn cleaned out enough to finally put my new Imperial 22' trailer where it should have been all along.. IN the barn! LOL. So then it was time to get back to added to the new gravel driveway turnaround bump out that I had about 70% done. Sounds pretty simple right? Yeah, I thought the same. However, things were about to take a turn for the worse! I could not locate the end of the culvert pipe extension that I myself added a couple of years ago. The project would have gone really nice and smooth if I could have found the end of the pipe and them simply started bringing in more fill dirt. But of course IT DID NOT go like that. As you'll see I could not find it in the heavy weeds and underbrush, and my memory did not serve me correctly, as the pipe turned out to be some 10' longer than I remembered it to be, so instead of finding the END of the pipe I accidentally Found the pipe, and wrecked it about 10 foot in from the end! Join me for the jury rigged culvert pipe repair 'fix,' and see how it goes. Stay tuned for the next episode as I will be posting it right after this video. And, I will also bring you a follow up video on this culvert pipe repair after some heavy rains to see if it works and holds up, or if I have to dig it all up again!
